Borrowing Eligibility
- Students, lecturers (during their teaching or learning period at ASWARA), officers, ASWARA staff and members of the public may use the library facilities within the specified period.
- The Service Counter provides services including borrowing, returning, renewing and booking of items.
- Borrowing eligibility for each user category varies depending on the type of collection.

Borrowing Rules
Access to digital resources, both on and off campus, is restricted to ASWARA members and registered users only.
Members of the public or external users may access the physical collection within the library premises, subject to a fixed membership fee for borrowing purposes.
Access rights and membership eligibility are non-transferable. Borrowers are not allowed to borrow or renew items on behalf of others.
Library members must present their matriculation or membership cards at the Service Counter. Any loss of these cards should be reported to the library or campus security immediately.
Renewal
Borrowers may renew borrowed items via the Service Counter, by phone at 03-27786064, or through their user account in WebOPAC.
Renewals are automatically allowed up to three (3) times. Borrowers may request an extension if the items have not been reserved by other users.
Booking of an Item
Booking of an Item
- Books that are currently on loan may be reserved by other users. Reservations can be made by completing the collection pick-up service form or through WebOPAC.
- Applicants will be notified of the booking status within three (3) working days via e-mail.
Materials not found
- This service is offered when a library item cannot be located and is not currently on loan. Please consult the librarian-on-duty and complete the collection pick-up service form.
- You will be notified of the search status via e-mail. If the item is found, it will be recorded in your user account as ready for collection and borrowing.

Fines Payment
Fines Appeal
- Appeals are only allowed for late return fines.
- The total fine must exceed RM50.00 for students and RM100.00 for staff and other membership categories.
- Only ONE (1) appeal will be considered per user.
Salary Deduction Payment
- The total fine must exceed RM100.00
- A minimum deduction of RM50.00 per month is required
- A completed application form must be submitted to the ASWARA Library
